The production of the first commercial petrochemical product in Iran occurred 47 years after the world&#8217;s first petrochemical product was introduced. The first petrochemical complexes in Abadan and Bandar Imam Khomeini played a significant role in establishing Iran as a leading producer in the region. Following the Islamic Revolution, despite political and economic challenges, the industry continued to grow through the development of new complexes and the expansion of production capacity. The application of nanotechnology in catalyst production, polymer property improvement and increased efficiency of chemical processes not only improves product quality but also enhances efficiency while reducing energy and resource consumption.
